AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Independent School District’s Future Cup wraps up Saturday night at SoccerZone in South Austin.

The soccer tournament began last Saturday and hosted some of the area’s best soccer players that competed in a round-robin style competition in three categories.

The final four teams in each category will return to the field this Saturday night to compete in the semi-final and championship matches, which begin at 5 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.

The inaugural tournament is part of AISD’s ongoing community engagement efforts and gives administrators and board members the chance to interact with families and discuss the district’s bond planning and future facility needs.

The event is free and includes food and prizes. Members of AISD’s Facilities and Bond Planning and Advisory Committee will briefly speak before the matches begin.
