It’s been said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, but you can turn an old drawer into something awesome for your furry friend. Carly Yansak with Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore came by to show how to turn a drawer into your pet’s new bed. The materials you will need are, a drawer, scrap wood, paint and a pillow. You start by sanding and painting your drawer and the scrap wood. Then, affix the wooden legs to the bottom of the drawer. Make a pillow for the bed using extra fabric, new-sew iron-on adhesive and stuffing. Then place the bedding into the drawer. ReStore is located on Ben White Boulevard. You can check them out online or give them a call at 512-478-2165.
