AUSTIN (KXAN) — Round Rock police are looking for several men who attempted to kidnap a child on his way to school on Tuesday.

The men told the student to get in their truck. The student did not respond and told teachers once he got to school.

  1. Fight the flu: Central Texas schools are offering free flu shots for students. Nurses will administer 75,000 vaccinations over the next month at 370 elementary and middle schools all across the state.
  2. Sonic employee shot during robbery: The woman was shot while she was closing the Northeast Austin Sonic. Police are looking for the two armed male suspects.
  3. Parents fighting changes to Medicaid system: The changes to Texas’ Medicaid system could pose challenges for children dealing with rare and complicated medical illnesses. Parents fear their children will lose the services and doctors they currently have.
  4. Bastrop family may have died in murder-suicide: What started as a domestic disturbance ended with a Bastrop family dead. It is believed that the father shot his wife several times. One of the shots hit his son in the head. He then turned the gun on himself.
