AUSTIN (KXAN) — While Amazon has a stronghold on the online market, they’re hoping their new pop-up shops across the country have the same impact. Currently, the company has 22 pop-up shops open in 12 states.

In Texas, the only two pop-up shops are currently at malls in Arlington and San Antonio. According to the company’s website, the stores have their full range of Amazon devices (Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tables, Dash Button and Kindle) on hand. Customers can test the products before they buy them and employees will be on hand to ask any questions.

According to Business Insider, Amazon started opening the pop-ups last month and it is not known how long each pop-up will stay open.

While Amazon has a good relationship with Austin, it’s not clear if a pop-up shop will open up here. A search of Amazon job openings in Austin doesn’t indicate any positions for a pop-up shop like in other cities.
