Crash flips one car on top of another in Leander

LEANDER (KXAN) — One person is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash Saturday in Leander.

Leander Police Department said three cars were involved in the crash, which happened at Crystal Falls Parkway and Toll Road 183A at 5:47 p.m.

Leander Police Sergeant Ryan Doyle said a Dodge Charger going westbound on Crystal Falls Parkway ran a red light at southbound 183A. The car was t-boned by a Hyundai going south on the frontage road. The drivers lost control and the Hyundai flipped, landing on top of a grey Ford.

The driver and passenger of the Charger and the driver of the Hyundai were taken to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center. The driver of the Charger had critical, life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Ford was taken to Seton Medical Center Williamson with minor injuries.
