Crash kills man in West Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person is dead after a what appears to be a two-vehicle crash in West Austin.

It happened at around 6:24 a.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of North Capital of Texas Highway.

Austin/Travis County EMS says a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. Medics also transported a man to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries.

The northbound lanes near Bold Ruler Way were shut down for several hours while police investigate the crash.

No further information has been released.
