AUSTIN (KXAN) — Two people are recovering in the hospital after an overnight shooting in Northeast Austin. However, Austin police say they were not hit by the gunfire.
A man has a potentially life-threatening injuries after he was run over by a car following the shooting, according to Austin/Travis County EMS. Arriving medics also found a woman who overdosed on an unknown substance.
Both of the people were at the 7400 block of Cameron Road and taken to the University Medical Center Brackenridge Hospital.
Austin police say they were called around 12:44 a.m. after reports of an aggravated assault. The woman is also in life-threatening condition.
