Crews extinguish house fire in Northwest Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Fire Department has extinguished a fire in Northwest Austin.

The fire started around 4:30 a.m. on the 4100 block of Cat Mountain Drive near Mesa Drive, west of MoPac. When firefighters arrived they saw flames coming out of the house.

There was no one in the home at the time of the fire, according to Austin police. There is no word on what started the fire.

Austin Police helped the Austin Fire Department contain the fire.
