AUSTIN (KXAN) — With the first day of school swiftly approaching 7,400 students are heading to the 40-acres for Mooov-In Day.

The University of Texas at Austin students are moving into their dorms starting on Friday. For 23 years, Mooov-In has helped students settle into the UT campus residence halls. The goal is to create a smooth transition from home to college life.

The President of the University Residence Hall Association, Nick Vasquez, says besides settling into campus the cost of college is on the minds of many students.

“I think it’s more concern about the rising prices for pretty much everything in college life from books to tuition,” said Vasquez.

Mooov-In starts at 9 a.m. Drivers should expect traffic around campus to be busier than normal.
