Gas station clerk on South I-35 robbed at gunpoint

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man robbed a Valero Gas Station at gunpoint last Thursday. With newly released surveillance images, Austin police are asking for your help identifying the suspect.

At around 5 p.m. on Aug. 11, the suspect pulled into the parking lot at 2101 Boca Raton Dr., located on the S. Interstate 35 northbound frontage road, in a new model black four-door hatchback sedan.

The man demanded cash from the store clerk at gunpoint and then left with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen driving northbound on the I-35 frontage road.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man, around 30 years old, wearing a baseball cap, t-shirt, cargo shorts and tennis shoes. He is around 5 foot 10 inches tall, of medium to heavy build and has dark hair and a goatee.
