Man shot in the buttocks in East Austin seriously injured

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man shot in the buttocks in East Austin has serious, potentially life-threatening injuries, Austin-Travis County EMS said Friday night.

Police were called at 11:35 p.m. to the 7100 block of Blessing Avenue, near the intersection of Cameron Road and E. U.S. 290.

Austin police say they are still searching for a suspect who was in a white van headed eastbound on East St. John’s Avenue.

On Thursday night, also in East Austin, a man was shot and killed. The man who died was in his 20s. Another person was injured in the shooting and survived.
