Manor ISD’s Superintendent answers your questions

Manor Superintendent Dr. Royce Avery

AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Monday, Aug. 15 Manor I.S.D. Superintendent Dr. Royce Avery joined us in the KXAN studio to talk about the upcoming school year and to answer your academic questions.

This will be Avery’s first full school year with the district after he joined on June 2. He received his undergraduate degree from Rice University, masters from Texas A&M, and his doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin.

“Manor ISD will open the first non-charter new tech middle school in the state, in the fall [of 2017] on the same site as Manor New Tech High School,” said Avery.

Manor ISD Stats: 

  • Approximately 8,700 students
  • 2 Highschools, 2 Middle schools, 8 Elementary schools, 1 alternative academy
