AUSTIN (KXAN) — A single glass pane from a balcony on the 48th floor of the Austonian crashed to the ground, Thursday afternoon.

The glass is designed to shatter if compromised in any way. No streets were blocked after the glass fell on the Congress Avenue side of the building, but firefighters were seen sweeping up shards of glass. No one was injured in the incident.

The glass company was headed to the building, Austin’s tallest, to determine what caused the glass to fail.
