Joe Barlow named The CW Austin entertainment reporter

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Joe Barlow is the new voice and face of The CW Austin! Joe provides unique entertainment coverage on local events, red carpets, festivals, and station sponsored events as The CW Austin Entertainment Reporter.

You can catch Joe’s entertainment segments Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on KXAN News at 9 p.m. on The CW Austin and on KXAN Sports: More than the Score, a new show which launches later this month.

Joe will highlight The CW’s primetime programming and keep viewers connected to all of their favorite shows like The Flash, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow through contesting, social media, regular on-air appearances, and street teaming events around town.

“I’m truly excited to get started as The CW Austin Entertainment Reporter,” said Joe. “I look forward to infusing humor into my interviews with chefs, actors, musicians, and honestly whoever will talk to me.”

Joe, an Emmy nominated Host, was raised in Central Illinois and majored in Broadcast News and Rhetoric at Drake University. Joe spent four years on a lifestyle entertainment show in his home state of Illinois and came to Austin bringing his creative experience, television background, and witty style to his interviews while providing hyper-local coverage.
