AUSTIN (KXAN) — You’ll have an opportunity to share your opinion on the city’s initiative to revise the Land Development Code, known as CodeNEXT.
The presentation at George Washington Carver Cultural Center will take place at 6 p.m. Monday. The goal is to start a conversation on how the city can better address transportation issues as it rewrites regulations.
The Carver Center is located at 1165 Angelina St. in East Austin.
According to the CodeNEXT website, the code determines how land can be used throughout the city – including what can be built, where it can be built, and how much can (and cannot) be built.
The last time the city rewrote its development code was in the 1980s and that process took about four years.
Meetings with time allotted for public comment are held at the first of every month at 6 p.m.
