Texas officials respond to Baton Rouge shooting

AUSTIN, (KXAN) — Officials across the state took to social media after three officers were killed and another three are wounded in after a shooting in Baton Rouge Sunday morning.

Chief Art Acevedo sent a series of tweets about the tragedy.

Governor Greg Abbott spoke to Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards. In a separate tweet, he says they are both in agreement to strengthen commitment to protect law enforcement.

Just a week after the Dallas shooting that killed four Dallas police officers and a DART officer, Dallas police chief David Brown sends his condolences to the Baton Rouge officers.
