AUSTIN (KXAN) — A drowning victim found Tuesday morning in Lake Travis has been identified.

David Sherman Anderson, 55, of San Antonio, was reported missing Monday morning.

Anderson’s cause of death has been ruled an accidental drowning by the medical examiner’s office.

Dive crews planned to search Lake Travis for the missing man Tuesday when a Graveyard Point resident found the body near his dock. Friends of the missing man say they last saw him alive at a party Sunday night. They found his shoes just a couple feet from the water.

Officials were busy on Lake Travis during the Fourth of July weekend. A two-year-old girl drowned in Lake Travis after falling off a dock on Saturday.

Four people were among those injured over the holiday weekend after a man crashed his boat on the lake. The 27-year-old driver was arrested for operating a boat while intoxicated.

Also on Saturday, three people managed to avoid injuries after a biplane crashed into Lake Travis.
