Try a New Twist on Traditional Barbecue

The grills will be firing up on overdrive this weekend, but how about throwing a delicious surprise onto the menu? The owner of The Peached Tortilla, Eric Silverstein, took out some of his time to show us a fun way to bring your average barbecue up a notch or two with his pork belly buns recipe. The pork belly buns are one of the newer items on the menu and it includes a chinese barbecue sauce. This sauce is a mixture of hoisin sauce, siracha, honey, and rice wine vinegar. And it’s put onto a steamed bun you can find at most Asian grocery stores. Then topped with a seared piece of pork belly. Eric said he likes to think of his menu as “asian comfort food” and we can’t help but agree. The Peached Tortilla is located on Burnet Road. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
