Man hit by vehicle on East MLK Blvd. critically injured

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was critically injured Monday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle on E. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at Walnut Avenue. The man was getting off a Capital Metro bus when he was hit at around 2:05 p.m.

A driver was located by police after the crash. The westbound lanes of MLK Blvd. were closed during the crash investigation.

Austin-Travis County EMS say the man in his 20s was unconscious and taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge with critical, potentially life-threatening injuries.
