WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Authorities ended a three-day search for a man in Williamson County after he was found safe, Thursday.

Around 125 members of law enforcement and emergency crews searched for the missing person in the Escalera Ranch area, southwest of Georgetown. He was last seen Tuesday afternoon, after authorities were called to investigate a suspicious vehicle.

At 1:38 p.m. Thursday, the man was found by rescuers, evaluated by EMS and released to the care of his family.

“Rescue teams in Williamson County routinely train and perform technical search drills together increasing their expertise and abilities to respond to situations just like this,” said Jarred THomas, emergency management coordinator.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said the man was not taken, but left on his own. Authorities say they cannot release additional information at this time.
