AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man stole two rings worth $3,000 from a northwest Austin jewelry store Tuesday afternoon.

The man went into American Blue Diamonds on Pecan Park Boulevard and told store employees his wife lost her bridal ring set and needed a new one.

When the employees turned around, the man took two rings and stuffed them in his pocket.

The store says the man was about 5’2″ tall and drove away in a black four-door car.

If you recognize the suspect, call Austin police at 512-974-5000.
