Wimberley man accused of shooting, killing his father

WIMBERLEY, Texas (KXAN) — A son is in custody accused of shooting and killing his father with a shotgun.

Hays County deputies were called to Brookmeadow Drive June 14 around 11:23 p.m. for a “verbal disturbance in progress.” When deputies arrived at the home, the woman said her husband and son were arguing in the back of the house.

A man was found on the ground unresponsive and declared dead at the scene. A second man, 29-year-old Jacob Kreuger, was sitting in a nearby chair with a shotgun in hand.

The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Steve Krueger. Jacob now faces murder charges.

This is the only information available at this time, while police investigate the death.
