AUSTIN (KXAN) — In an effort to keep drivers safe from falling debris, construction crews are working to install a fence along Redbud Trail.

The project is aiming to keep the roadway clear of stray rocks, which poses a threat to drivers between Lake Austin Boulevard and Statford Drive. The projected completion date will be five to seven days from now, estimated to wrap up Tuesday, June 21.

While crews work, lanes will be reduced to one lane from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be workers in the area directing traffic. Drivers are asked to be cautious maneuvering through the work zone.
