For some people, homemade pasta may be something you only ever imagined making because it seems too complicated and frankly, too intimidating. Patricia Tamminga of Patricia’s Table joined us in the studio to explain just how simple it really is to make. The pasta is so easy to make that she’s even had children make it at the age of three. Patricia’s pasta only includes four simple ingredients: flour, salt, egg, and oil. Mix these four ingredients until it develops the right consistency. Patricia’s pasta machine came in handy to smooth out the dough and cut it into strips. If you don’t have a pasta machine, a rolling pin can be used and a knife works great to cut it into the thin strips. One great benefit of homemade pasta is the short amount of time it takes to boil. Simply, place it in a pot of boiling water and within a minute it is ready to add the sauce of your choice. Patricia’s Table is located on West 35th street. There’s still time to sign up for a delicious cooking class for both kids and adults. Go to Patriciastable.com for more details.
