Woman hit, killed by car on I-35 in North Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A woman is dead after she was hit and killed by a car early Saturday morning.

The crash happened in the 15200 block of Interstate 35 near Wells Branch Parkway around 4:30 a.m.

When EMS and Austin police responded to the crash, the 30-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Road closures caused delays for hours after the crash happened. The roads are now cleared.

Investigators have not said what may have led to the crash.
