HUTTO, Texas (KXAN) — Hutto City Manager Karen Daly resigned Thursday, according to a city council member.

Daly will stay on until June 13. At that time, council will decide who takes over.

In January, council members expressed a lack of faith in Daly. “There have been several instances where things have not been happening the way they should be,” Council Member Ann Cano said at the time.

One of the concerns is how the city handled the appeals process after a Hutto police sergeant was fired in July 2015. Cano says the city made a fair appeal impossible.

On Jan. 7, the city council voted 4-3 in a vote of no confidence in Daly. However, the vote was symbolic.
