The Art Garage is full of creative ideas and expression, some of which can be created by your own kids during one of their fun classes. Kelly Emmert visited the Studio 512, just in time for summer, to give an example of what they do. Emmert displayed a variety of her “Fused Glass” art pieces in the studio. She had a few lamps, bowls, and other beautiful pieces. After exploring the details of a few of her creations, we were able to experience the process first hand as Amanda assisted Kelly in a demonstration on how to score with glass cutters. Emmert used three simple steps to create the glass. First, gather the items needed. Then, arrange them in your desired image and finally, fire the glass. The Art Garage is located on Circle Drive. They offer camps, events and classes. You can find out more at theArtgarageaustin.com for more information or call 512-852-9900.
