Potential rock throwing case near Riverside Drive Sunday night

AUSTIN (KXAN)  — Austin police and Austin/Travis County EMS responded to the scene of a potential rock throwing case in southeast Austin.

EMS says they received a call about an object being thrown at a car after 9:30 p.m. near Riverside Drive and I-35.

Police say the person was heading northbound when the driver was hit, causing glass to shatter and cut the person’s eye.

According to EMS, the patient refused to be transported to the hospital.

The scene has been cleared.
