Shots fired, one hit by car in North Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Police are searching for the suspect in a North Austin hit-and-run and shooting Friday afternoon.

Police initially said one person was shot, but clarified they could not locate a gunshot victim.

Austin police say the disturbance happened just before 4 p.m. in the 1100 block of Mearns Meadow. The condition of the injured person is not known at this time.

The Austin Police Department’s helicopter is in the air assisting with the search for the suspects.
