Water main break in South Austin closes traffic lane

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One lane of traffic is closed after a water main broke in South Austin Sunday.

The Austin Fire Department says a company was installing a cable and and hit the water line, which caused the road to buckle.

One lane of Slaughter Lane at Texas Oaks Drive is closed while work is done to repair the line.

Update: All lanes were repaired overnight Sunday.
