Jinkies! Real-life ‘Scooby-Doo’ van crashes into house

Stolen Mystery Machine - St. Paul Police Twitter

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (KXAN) – Meddling kids joke out of the way first, police in Minnesota are still working to solve the mystery of the missing van.

According to the Pioneer Press, the familiar looking van was reported to have crashed into a St. Paul home around 3 a.m. Friday.

You’d think it may have been Fred and the gang, possibly having solved a recent mystery and celebrating too hard but being irresponsible and not calling a ride home, but that was not the case. The van was actually stolen from a home a few miles away.

The homeowner, who now had a van-sized plot hole in their living room, saw two men running away from the scene and called 911. Officers found two men in a garage a block away, but couldn’t immediately link them to the crime.

It’s unknown if officers searched for masks or disguises.

The custom-painted van sustained front end damage. No one was hurt.
