Vista Ridge girls, Connally boys fall in state semis

GEORGETOWN (KXAN) — The Vista Ridge girls soccer team’s season ended in the 5A state semifinals.

After tying the game with just 30 seconds left in the first overtime period and sending the game to penalty kicks, Frisco Centennial won 6-5 in after beating Vista Ridge 5-3 in penalty kicks.

The Pflugerville Connally boys were making their first appearance in the state soccer tournament, but lost to Frisco Wakeland 5-0.

The Lake Travis boys will play Brownsville Lopez in the 6A semifinals Friday at 7:30 PM
