Police search for suspect after man shot in Northeast Austin

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person is injured after a shooting in Northeast Austin.

According to the Austin Police Department, the shooting happened just after 12 p.m. at the 1400 block of East Rundberg Lane.

Police say a 911 caller told them that they thought they heard what sounded like gunshots. When officers arrived on scene they found that one person had been shot.

The victim is estimated to be in his 20s, according to Austin-Travis County EMS. He has serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The suspect in the shooting left the scene and is not in custody.
