Police investigating possible rock throwing on I-35

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Police are investigating a possible rock throwing incident, Thursday night.

The incident happened somewhere near Interstate 35 and 15th Street at 8:42 p.m. The caller told police someone threw a rock at their vehicle from an overpass.

The caller left the scene and is still driving; police are trying to meet with the driver.

Authorities have asked anyone who is the victim of a rock throwing incident to call 9-1-1 immediately and pull over where it’s safe.

Since June 2014, police say there have been more than 50 reports of rocks being thrown at vehicles.
