AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin man has been arrested by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force for the alleged aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Alberto Morales, 42, was arrested in the 1500 block of Holly Street Wednesday night by the task force without incident. Morales was sought after he was charged last week; aggravated sexual assault of a child is a first degree felony in Travis County.

The task force established surveillance in the area of Navasota and Holly Streets Wednesday evening after receiving critical information that this was an area frequented by Morales, the task force said in a statement. At around 7:20 p.m., investigators observed Morales walking in area and quickly took him into custody.

Morales was transferred to the custody of the Travis County Jail pending additional court hearings.
