AUSTIN (KXAN) — A Hays County bridge destroyed by flooding last May is back open.

The Fischer Store Road bridge over the Blanco River washed away over Memorial Day weekend.

Tuesday, Hays County Commissioner Will Conley said TxDOT finished construction ahead of schedule. “Special shoutout to TxDOT who rocked on this project,” the commissioner said.

A dedication ceremony will be held on the bridge Friday at 10:00 a.m.
