AUSTIN (KXAN) — Wednesday night, Democrats in Austin worked to gain support for presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Volunteers participated in a phone bank to motivate people to come out and vote during the March 1 primary.

Austin Mayor Steve Adler was there to encourage volunteers.

“I think mayors like myself appreciate the work that she has done, the background that she would bring to the job, I personally believe that rarely, if ever, have we had a candidate that is as qualified as Hillary Clinton to be President of the United States,” he said.

Early voting for Super Tuesday starts next week on Feb. 16 and runs through the end of the month. The last day to get a ballot in the mail: February 19.
