KYLE, Texas (KXAN) — Parts of Burleson Road in Kyle will be closed starting Feb. 1 as construction crews work on excavating the areas.

The city says Burleson Road between Spring Branch Parkway and the IH-35 access road will be closed for approximately three weeks. Only people who live north of the railroad tracks will be allowed to access that portion of the road. Those coming off the I-35 access road trying to turn right and travelling south of the railroad tracks will be detoured through downtown Kyle.

“Capital Excavation is already ahead of schedule,” Garcia said. “Barring more inclement weather or other unforeseen issues, they should have Marketplace completed by early July.”

The Marketplace extension is one of five roads passed in 2013 by Kyle voters in a bond election.
