AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is looking into another possible rock throwing case on I-35.

According to APD they received a call at 2:39 p.m. Sunday from a driver that their car had been struck by a rock at the 125000 block of North I-35 near Parmer Lane on Sunday.

When the rock struck the car the driver continued home where they called the police.

Due to limited information the driver and Austin Police do not know if the rock was thrown at the car, or kicked up by the wheels of another vehicle.

Since June 2014, police say there have been 52 reports of rock being thrown at vehicles. On Wednesday one suspect was taken into custody after a pipe was thrown into I-35 traffic.
