Boy, 4, dies after accidentally shooting self at Houston home

HOUSTON (AP) — Relatives say a 4-year-old boy has died after he accidentally shot himself in the head while visiting his grandparents at their Houston-area home.

The family of Bryson Hernandez announced his death in a statement Thursday.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting happened around midnight Tuesday when the boy was at the residence in Cypress. Investigators are trying to determine how Bryson found the loaded gun and who owns it.
