AUSTIN (KXAN) — A woman who was hit by a vehicle on East Riverside Drive last Thursday died at the hospital over the weekend.

Austin police say Charlsea Coon, 23, was walking south to north in the crosswalk against the signal at the corner East Riverside Drive and Crossing Place when a driver in a pickup truck going westbound hit her. Coon was transported to the hospital but she died three days later. While the investigation is still ongoing, authorities believe Coon might have been intoxicated.

The driver had the green light and was not cited.

The first fatal crash in Austin this year also involved a pedestrian. Katherine Nora Snodgrass, 22, was killed when a vehicle hit her as she was crossing Lake Creek Parkway in Northwest Austin.
