VIDEO: Window washers trapped 75 stories up on broken scaffolding

HOUSTON (KXAN) — Two window washers were trapped above downtown Houston when a scaffolding broke.

They were near the top of the 75-story Chase Bank when one of the scaffolding motors stopped working.

Firefighters immediately went into action to rescue the two while others stopped to watch the scene unfold.

“Once word got out everybody kind of flocked to the window to catch a view to see what was going on,” said one on-looker.

The two window washers made it inside safely through a window on the 71st floor.

The window washing company says their workers train for situations like this and are grateful everyone was okay.
