Skating into Fitness with Playland Skate Center

We got rolling right out of the gates today!Roller skates are making a comeback when it comes to getting fit and keeping it fun.

Playland Skate Center offers 4 additional skate programs outside of their general skate sessions

  1. KIDS SKATE FREE PROGRAM: For children under 10 years of age and interested in skating we offer our Kids Skate Free program, which allows the child to come skating twice a week for free with their own skates. You can register your children at
  1. FREE SKATE LESSONS: Playland Skate Center also offers Free Skate Lessons every Sunday from 11-11:45 am with the purchase of admission of $8.00 per person. The admissions allows you to skate their public session from 12-5pm that day to practice what you have learned.
  1. SK8 4 FITNESS: The Sk8 4 Fitness classes meets every Friday morning from 10:30-12 for $10 per person. The class works on skating form, techniques, endurance and overall fitness. Sk8 4 Fitness is a prefect way to have fun, burn some calories and get your skate on! For more information please check out the Facebook page at
  1. TEXAS SPEED TEAM: Customers who have a competitive side in them can join their Texas Speed Team. The speed team membership is $60 per month which includes all practice and open skate sessions. Their Speed Team trains in both quads and inline to participate in short track indoor speed skating competitions throughout the year. For more information check out their website at

Roller skating is good wholesome fun and great exercise for the whole family to participate. All ages are welcome for any of our programs.
