Shishito Peppers with The Backspace Restaurant

They were Austin’s first Neapolitan style pizzeria,since then The Backspace Restaurant has moved to the forefront of favorite local spots.They are celebrating their 5th anniversary with panache!

Throughout the month, lunchtime diners can join in the anniversary celebration by feasting on the real life of the party: thebackspace’s unique thin-crust pizza — baked traditional-style at 900 degrees in a wood-fired brick oven — for half price during lunch service; or come in for dinner and celebrate with a complimentary glass of Prosecco.

Recipe for Shishito Peppers:

8oz shishito peppers

1pc bottarga

1oz grape agro dulce

2oz fresh picked mint

Salt and pepper to taste

In a sauté pan over high heat, cook the shishitos until skins are just blistered and season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a serving bowl. Drizzle over the agro dulce. Using a microplane grate over the bottarga and finish with some torn mint.
