AUSTIN (KXAN) — If you’re one of the millions of people who are trying to cash in on the largest Powerball jackpot in the history of the lottery, you might consider which state you buy your ticket in.

According to Powerball data, the state with the most winning tickets sold is Indiana with 38 since 1990. Since Texas started selling Powerball tickets in 2010, only two tickets sold were jackpot winners. If you live near the Louisiana border, you might want to head over there since that state has recorded 15 winning Powerball tickets.

If you live in Alaska, Nevada, Utah, Mississippi, Alabama or Hawaii, you’ll have to travel to another state to get your winning ticket.
