How to Help: North Texas tornado victims

AUSTIN (KXAN) — If you’re looking for a way to help the victims of the North Texas tornadoes, there are several places where you can donate.

  • The Salvation Army has a website specifically setup for the DFW tornado relief
  • The Red Cross is also taking donations. Approximately, 1,300 people spent Sunday night in Red Cross community shelters across the South after tornadoes and flooding left behind damage. You can also text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
  • City of Garland has a clearing house for people looking for assistance and for people who want to donate/volunteer
  • Ellis County: Text EllisRelief to 414-44 to donate. 100% of donations will be used for Ellis County disaster relief efforts.
