SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) — Many flood survivors were able to make it back into their home before the holidays. That itself was a feat, but now many still need to fill their homes with furniture, but the main donation warehouse is running low.

Rays of Hope was running a furniture warehouse for over seven months.

“We helped over 600 families in over a month and a half. From maybe just a bed to a dining room table or maybe to furnish their whole home,” Bee Wiginton with Rays of Hope shares.

She says because she has helped so many families for so long it was wearing down on her. She was even tempted to close the shop, until she dropped off gifts to some flood families during the holiday season.

“Going in and seeing the children laying on the floor. You know? No, that is not right. We need to step up and help them,” Wiginton describes.

That is why she is choosing to keep their warehouse open and send out another message for help.

You can email raysofhopesm@yahoo.com to schedule a donation time. The warehouse is located at 110 West Martin Luther King Dr. in San Marcos, two blocks south of the town square. You can also visit their Facebook page and the Serve San Marcos website for more information on the type of donations they accept.
