Woman crashes into Porsche body shop, charged with intoxication assault

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A woman was charged with intoxication assault, a third degree felony, after crashing her vehicle into a business on North Lamar Boulevard early Sunday.

The incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. in the 8800 block of N. Lamar Blvd.

According to a police affidavit, officers responding to the scene found Sasha Flores, 24, in the driver’s seat of the crashed vehicle, which was completely inside the business.

Police say that Flores appeared to be “highly upset” with the passenger, who was bleeding from the nose and unresponsive. Officers say they could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from Flores, who told police she was driving home from a bar.

The passenger was taken to Brackenridge Hospital where he was treated for a collapsed lung.
