AUSTIN (KXAN) — Keep an eye on your mailbox for a new voter registration card. The old orange ones will expire at the end of the month, replaced by the new blue voter registration certificates.

The card identifies each registered voter in Travis County through December 2017.

Travis County Voter Registrar, Bruce Elfant, says “It is important for voters to check the mail for their new certificates. If you are registered to vote and your certificate does not arrive or is incorrect, we want to help you make the necessary changes before the next election.”

If you card has wrong information you can write the corrections on the back and will be sent a new one within 30 days.

For those who have moved since their last vote, you can update your address here. People who do not confirm their address with the post office will still be able to vote, but they may be delayed on Election Day.
