I-35 reopens after 7-car crash causes major delays

BUDA, Texas (KXAN) — A multiple-car collision in Buda caused serious traffic delays on I-35.

Several injuries have been reported in the crash that occurred on the southbound side of I-35 near Main Street. Seven vehicles and a motorcycle were involved. The motorcyclist ended up in the northbound lanes of I-35.

Buda Police were working the scene of the crash at the Buda City Limits and Hay, Travis County line.

All I-35 lanes in both the northbound and southbound direction are now open.

Traffic reporter Amanda Dugan advises drivers traveling from Kyle or Buda to use FM 1626 as an alternate route.
